The "Next Steps" Journey: From Basics to Blending
"There is a really special moment that happens at the end of every Beginners Workshop. A student looks at their freshly painted, solid-colour piece and says, 'I love it... but how do you get those colours to melt into each other like you do?'
I always smile because I know exactly what they’re feeling. You’ve mastered the brush, you’ve fallen in love with the Frenchic finish, and now you’re ready to play.
That’s why I’m so excited to introduce our Intermediate Furniture Art Workshop. This session is designed specifically for those of you who have the basics down and are ready to get a little 'messy' with artistic techniques. We’re moving away from the flat finish and diving headfirst into the world of Ombre Blending. I’ll show you my personal method for creating those seamless, sunset-style transitions that make furniture look like a canvas.
But we aren't stopping there. To really give your pieces that 'Brits Love Vintage' soul, we’ll be mastering the application of Redesign with Prima transfers or decoupage papers. These aren't just decorations; they are the fine details that turn a piece of furniture into a story. We’ll talk about composition, how to layer over your blends, and how to seal everything so it lasts a lifetime.

All Frenchic and Redesign with Prima products will be provided. You will need to bring a small unpainted / waxed piece of furniture with you. You must provide details and photos a week before the workshop so we can plan your piece together.
This is a hands-on day, so it is advisable to wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on.
Frenchic Furniture Paint is an environmentally friendly chalk and mineral paint, it is EN: 71-3 certified, meaning that it’s safe to paint nursery / children’s furniture. It has no voc’s added and is toxin and solvent free with no odour. It is creamy and rich with fabulous coverage.
The day has a flexible structure
Starting at 11.00 am with tea / coffee and biscuits (maybe homemade) available throughout the day.finishing around 5pm. There will be a break for lunch, you can bring your own or there are lots of lovely local cafes to grab something to eat.
Tickets are non-refundable after booking, but you can rebook on the next available workshop or reallocate your ticket to someone else, just send us an email with the name and email of the person you have allocated your ticket to.
We reserve the right to cancel a workshop if there are less than 2 participants or if Jackie is unavailable. Full refunds, or an alternative date if preferred, will be given if we cancel a workshop.
